Project Engineer- Electrical

Job Location- Sohar, Oman

Experience / Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project, design, and engineering within the aluminium industry (preferred)

·         Provide project management, engineering, and design support in Aluminium smelter areas.

• Knowledge of SAP

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD (added advantage)

• Planning Skills:

  • Experience with planning software such as MS Project or Primavera

• Strong understanding of:

  • Organizational structure

  • Decision-making processes

  • Business needs

  • Budgeting, planning, and contractual matters

• Experience in erection supervision of bulk material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors and related mechanical static/dynamic equipment) – mandatory

• Proven track record managing Grade A contractor teams

• Strong written and verbal communication and reporting skills

• Ability to work on-site with strong decision-making and coordination skills

• Basic knowledge of standard contract terms and conditions

• Project management certification or Chartered Engineer status is an added advantage
