Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Project Management:
    Lead the planning and execution of 380/132 kV substation projects.
    Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
    Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  2. Technical Design & Review:
    Review and approve substation design documents, including single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and protection schemes.
    Coordinate with design teams to ensure compliance with client specifications and international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
  3. Site Supervision & Commissioning:
    Oversee onsite construction, installation, and testing of substation equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays, etc.).
    Lead commissioning activities and ensure all systems are operational and safe.
  4. Stakeholder Coordination:
    Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
    Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and address issues.
  5. Quality & Safety Compliance:
    Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and industry standards.
    Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
  6. Documentation & Reporting:
    Prepare project reports, including progress, challenges, and financial status.
    Maintain accurate project documentation and as-built drawings.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical substation projects, specifically in 380/132 kV substations.

Hands-on experience with substation, construction, testing, and commissioning.

Familiarity with high-voltage equipment, protection systems, and SCADA.


Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar design/tools.

Knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.).

Strong understanding of grid systems and power transmission.


Certifications (Preferred):

Certified Substation Engineer.
