Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of interior design and fit-out projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution, and resolve any design or construction issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, and track progress against established targets.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and material selections, ensuring compliance with design intent, building codes, and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Manage and mitigate project risks, including identifying potential issues, developing contingency plans, and implementing corrective actions.
- Procure materials and equipment, negotiate contracts with vendors, and manage the procurement process to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permit requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor a team of project engineers and site supervisors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in civil, Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in design and construction principles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design and fit-out projects, showcasing proven expertise in managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Proven experience in the Retail, Hospitality, or Commercial sector, indicating relevant industry knowledge and project exposure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software, reflecting technical skills in creating and reviewing architectural drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes, demonstrating a practical approach to project management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, highlighting the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, showcasing the capacity to address challenges proactively and efficiently.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets and schedules effectively, reflecting financial acumen and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), showing familiarity with project planning and tracking tools.
