Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion within the food manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment in production facilities.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for new and existing machinery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during project execution and ongoing operations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to source equipment and materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, proposals, and technical documentation to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in mechanical engineering.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, automation, and production equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems (ISO, HACCP, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
