Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of mining and construction project phases.

  • Monitor on-site engineering activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Support the Project Manager in developing project scopes, budgets, timelines, and progress reports.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, construction, and subcontractors.

  • Track and manage daily site operations, work progress, and manpower allocation.

  • Review and interpret construction and mining drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve engineering issues.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as method statements, inspection reports, as-built drawings, and material submittals.

  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities as required.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and escalate issues to the project leadership team.

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines and project safety plans.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Civil, Mining, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).

  • Experienced in construction and/or mining projects, preferably in remote or site-based roles.

  • Familiarity with mining methods (open-pit or underground), site development, and infrastructure construction is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management processes, and construction methodologies.

  • Proficient in project software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to work in remote and challenging site conditions on a rotation schedule, if applicable.
