Project Engineer(Information Technology / Automation / SAP)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification in IT & Automation stream.

• Project Management certification is an added advantage.

• Proficiency in MS Project.

• SAP knowledge is a strong added advantage.

• Basic knowledge of standard contract terms and conditions.

• Project Management certifications or Chartered Engineer status will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in project, design, and engineering roles.

• Experience in the Aluminium industry is preferred.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Provide project management support to predefined areas of the plant and offer limited discipline

engineering advice to the engineering team supporting the smelter, port, and power plant facilities.

• Work on multiple projects within and outside plant, reporting to the Senior Project Engineer,

Superintendent, or as required by the job function.

• Closely monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

• Monitor and control all contractor activities at site to achieve project objectives within schedule, budget, and plant’s quality standards.

• Submit daily reports to the Senior Engineer and present monthly project progress reports and forecasts to higher management.

• Comply with Plant’s Zero Harm Policy and all EHS requirements.

• Provide engineering services, including project management and engineering support, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

• Manage and coordinate engineering activities and pre-operational testing to ensure cost-effective, timely commissioning and ramp-up, in compliance with applicable standards and procedures.

• Evaluate proposed projects and provide recommendations; prepare technical reports and documentation.

• Monitor and evaluate the overall performance of engineering contractors.
