Project Engineer – Power Transmission Substations (400kV / 132kV)

Location: Dubai,UAE
Experience:

Job Overview

We are hiring experienced Project Engineers for large-scale 400kV & 132kV transmission substation projects. The role involves project management, site coordination, stakeholder management, progress monitoring, and ensuring timely execution of power transmission projects in line with project baselines and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Home country experience is acceptable. Candidates with relevant power transmission/substation project experience from India or other home countries are encouraged to apply.

  • Manage and monitor daily site activities for transmission substation projects.

  • Track project progress against baseline schedules and ensure achievement of milestones.

  • Identify delays, risks, and project variances and implement corrective actions.

  • Implement and manage:

    • Risk Management Plans

    • Issue Management Plans

    • Change Management Processes

  • Conduct daily scrum/progress meetings with stakeholders and project teams.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and utility stakeholders.

  • Handle official project communication through systems.

  • Prepare project reports, progress updates, and performance analysis.

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and OH&S Management System requirements.

  • Support project delivery within approved scope, timeline, and budget.


Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

    • Electrical Engineering OR

    • Civil Engineering

Experience

  • Electrical Engineers: Minimum 4 years in power transmission/substation projects

  • Civil Engineers: Minimum 4 years in power transmission/substation projects

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in 400kV / 132kV substation projects

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies

  • Knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and project tracking tools

  • PM certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred

  • Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities

  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional project teams
