Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will oversee the complete lifecycle of cabin manufacturing projects—from kickoff to final invoicing. This role requires strong coordination between production teams, procurement, and clients to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and accurate commercial documentation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and experienced in managing manufacturing workflows in a fast‑paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
v Project Planning & Coordination
Lead project kickoff meetings with clients and internal teams.
Develop project execution plans, timelines, and resource requirements.
Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor daily progress in the workshop and resolve bottlenecks proactively.
v Production & Workshop Management
Ensure production activities align with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Track material availability and coordinate with procurement to avoid delays.
Supervise fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes to maintain quality standards.
Conduct regular shop‑floor inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
v Client Communication & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide regular progress updates, technical clarifications, and documentation.
Present and justify project variations, additional works, and scope changes.
Manage client expectations and ensure timely approvals for drawings, materials, and variations.
v Commercial & Documentation Control
Prepare and submit variation claims with supporting documentation.
Coordinate with finance and commercial teams for invoicing milestones.
Ensure all project records, approvals, and reports are properly maintained.
Support cost control efforts by monitoring material usage and labor productivity.
v Quality Assurance & HSE Compliance
Ensure all cabins meet company quality standards and client specifications.
Participate in inspections, testing, and final handover procedures.
Enforce HSE guidelines within the workshop and project sites.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Preferred).
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or modular/cabin production.
Strong understanding of workshop operations, materials, and production planning.
Experience in client coordination and handling variations is essential.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience in Oman or GCC manufacturing environments is an advantage.
