Project Manager - Aerospace/ Rotary-Wing Programs

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end management of helicopter-related programs, including Black Hawk and S92 upgrades, retrofits, and system integrations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets (including multimillion-dollar accounts), resources, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure project alignment and deliverables.
• Ensure all project activities comply with the relevant military/civilian aviation regulations.
• Oversee contract performance, including change management, reporting, and Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.
• Drive process improvements and best practices in project governance and reporting.
• Mentor and support junior project managers and cross-functional team leads.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of project/program management experience in aerospace, defense, or aviation industries.
• Proven expertise in managing projects related to Black Hawk (UH-60) and/or Sikorsky S92 helicopters.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Aerospace, Business, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and risk management frameworks.
• Proficient in MS Project, Jira, SAP, and project tracking/reporting tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance (if required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification (Project Management Institute)
• Experience working with international military and commercial aviation customers
• Knowledge of FAA, EASA, and/or NATO airworthiness requirements
• Familiarity with rotorcraft avionics, mission systems, and structural upgrades
