Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
This project aims to enhance decentralized waste management, promote circular economy practices, and address climate change impacts in Egypt.
In Assiut, the project tackles key challenges such as:
- Limited NGO capacity to implement environmental initiatives to international standards.
- Inefficient or informal waste management systems, especially in rural areas.
- Low public awareness of recycling and climate-resilient behaviors.
- Weak coordination between grassroots actors and local authorities.
CARE Egypt Foundation will build on its experience in NGO capacity building and environmental programming to support selected NGOs through technical, financial, and reporting assistance. These NGOs will implement community projects in areas such as recycling, circular economy applications, awareness campaigns, and climate-responsive solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
