Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic French Speaking Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale Residential High-Rise Building projects in Guinea, Africa. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in end-to-end construction project management, including planning, execution, commercial management, client coordination, and overall project delivery.

The candidate must possess strong leadership capabilities with proven expertise in managing high-value projects while ensuring quality, safety, cost control, and timely completion. The role requires full accountability for project performance, including project planning, resource management, stakeholder coordination, and P&L responsibility.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Lead the complete lifecycle of residential high-rise building projects from mobilization to final handover.

  • Manage overall site execution activities in line with approved project schedules, specifications, and contractual requirements.

  • Ensure timely completion of projects within approved budget and quality standards.

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, Planning, and Commercial departments for smooth project execution.

  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones.

Planning & Scheduling

  • Review and monitor baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.

  • Ensure effective resource planning including manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

  • Identify project risks and delays and develop mitigation strategies.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities.

  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Attend progress meetings and provide technical and commercial updates to stakeholders.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Manage project budgets, cash flow, cost control, and profitability.

  • Take full responsibility for project P&L performance.

  • Review variations, claims, subcontractor payments, and commercial reports.

  • Ensure proper contract administration and compliance with contractual obligations.

Team Leadership

  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and site management staff.

  • Monitor team performance and ensure productivity targets are achieved.

  • Promote a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.

Quality, Health & Safety

  • Ensure implementation of QA/QC procedures and HSE standards across project activities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, international standards, and local regulations.

  • Drive safe working practices and maintain accident-free project execution.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum 18+ years of experience in the construction industry.

  • Proven experience managing Residential High-Rise Building Projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge in high-rise construction methodologies and project management practices.

  • Experience handling large-scale projects independently from start to finish.

  • Strong commercial awareness with proven experience in P&L management.

  • Experience working in Africa or GCC region will be an added advantage.

  • PMP certification will be preferred.
