Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful execution of HPS Play projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards. The role oversees the full project lifecycle—from initial handover to installation, testing & commissioning, client communication, and final handover—while coordinating with all internal departments including Technical, Factory, Supply Chain, ASTS, and Installation teams.

The Project Manager ensures that HPS installations meet client expectations, safety requirements, and operational excellence benchmarks.

Project Planning & Initiation

  • Review project scope, contract documents, BOQ, drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Prepare detailed project execution plans, installation schedules, manpower plans, and risk assessments.

  • Identify project constraints, critical activities, and material/equipment requirements.

  • Coordinate with the Technical Team to finalize drawings, method statements, and documentation.

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Lead and manage day-to-day project operations, ensuring smooth coordination between factory, site, technical, and supply chain teams.

  • Ensure installation works follow approved drawings, specifications, and HPS standards.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure proper supervision.

  • Coordinate logistics, material deliveries, fabrication timelines, and installation sequencing.

  • Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with contractual and safety requirements.

Communication & Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

  • Conduct progress meetings, provide updates, and address client concerns professionally.

  • Prepare and submit required project documentation: progress reports, inspection requests, approvals, and close-out files.

  • Handle variations, change requests, and ensure proper documentation and commercial alignment with the client.

Quality Assurance & Site Control

  • Ensure all installations comply with quality standards, ITPs, specifications, and safety protocols.

  • Coordinate with QA/QC as needed for inspections, material approvals, and corrective actions.

  • Manage snagging/de-snagging, testing & commissioning, and final handover documentation.

  • Monitor workmanship, ensuring that all play and adventure installations meet HPS quality benchmarks.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with:

o Technical Department for drawing clarifications

o Factory Production for fabrication timelines

o Supply Chain for material procurement

o Installation Team for manpower and resource planning

o ASTS Team for after-sales coordination, training, or recertification needs (when applicable)

  • Ensure alignment across all departments to support project timelines and deliverables.

Financial & Commercial Control

  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, material usage, and cost control measures.

  • Verify subcontractor invoices, variations, claims, and relevant commercial documents.

  • Ensure cost-efficient use of manpower, equipment, and materials.

  • Support management in forecasting revenue contributions and project margins.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure all project activities follow approved method statements, risk assessments, and safety protocols.

  • Enforce PPE usage and promote a culture of safety across site operations.

  • Report any incidents, unsafe conditions, or non-compliances and implement corrective actions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience and Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related).

  • 4–7 years of experience in project management, preferably in play structures, adventure parks, theming, fit-out, or specialized construction.

  • Strong understanding of installation methods, fabrication processes, and safety standards.

  • Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).

  • Experience managing multicultural teams and subcontractors.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and technical drawings.

  • Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination abilities.

  • Solid understanding of QA/QC, safety, and project controls.
