Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:
Responsible for the complete delivery of building projects from mobilization to handover, ensuring full compliance with the contract, technical specifications, budget, and schedule. Acts as the single point of accountability for the project, leading all technical, commercial, and operational aspects on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the project execution plan, construction program, and procurement schedule in line with contract requirements
  • Coordinating with design, procurement, and subcontractor teams to ensure timely issuance of shop drawings, material approvals, and work permits
  • Monitoring daily site activities, ensuring compliance with approved construction methodologies, IFC drawings, and quality standards
  • Managing site resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and reduce waste
  • Preparing and submitting progress reports, cost forecasts, and variation proposals to the area manager
  • Reviewing and approving subcontractor work programs, method statements, and payment applications
  • Coordinating with client, consultant, and authority representatives to resolve technical and contractual issues promptly
  • Leading project risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard schedule and budget
  • Overseeing QA/QC inspections, material testing, and commissioning activities in line with project specifications
  • Ensuring strict compliance with HSE regulations, conducting regular safety inspections, and leading toolbox talks
  • Managing project cash flow, monitoring cost-to-complete, and controlling project expenses
  • Leading site coordination meetings and ensuring timely resolution of design, procurement, or construction conflicts
  • Preparing project handover documentation, managing snag rectification, and supporting final account closure
  • Driving value engineering initiatives to improve project efficiency and cost performance
  • Mentoring site engineers and junior staff to build technical competence and leadership skills

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • 16 or more years of experience in building construction including at least 8 years in Dubai.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments
  • Strong familiarity with UAE authority approval processes (Trakhees, DDA, Dubai Municipality etc.)
