Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Purpose

Launch and scale Thrive Cafe and retail operations. Own the full journey: fit-out project management, menu development, retail sourcing, team hiring, and P&L ownership. Then scale via delivery platforms. This is an entrepreneurial role - build a hospitality business within a healthcare platform.

Key Responsibilities

Launch Phase

  • Lead cafe launch project: contractor coordination, timeline management, budget control.

  • Develop a health-focused menu aligned with the Thrive brand, building on the foundations and directions already defined.

  • Source retail products: supplements, recovery tools, branded merchandise, wellness items.

  • Hire and train cafe staff including Head Barista.

  • Build operational SOPs: opening/closing, food safety, service standards.

Scale Phase

  • Own cafe and retail P&L: revenue, costs, margins, profitability.

  • Launch delivery platform presence: Deliveroo, Noon Foods, Talabat.

  • Optimise operations and expand delivery reach.

  • Negotiate vendor relationships.

  • Develop marketing initiatives.

Performance Indicators

  • Cafe opens on time and within budget.

  • P&L targets achieved within first 6 months.

  • Delivery platforms live and generating orders.

  • Staff trained and performing to standards.

  • High level of customer satisfaction

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years in project management, F&B operations, or hospitality. Launch experience strongly preferred.

  • Food service experience preferred.

  • Track record delivering projects on time and budget.

  • Commercial acumen: P&L, pricing, vendor negotiation.

  • Understanding of food service operations and health/safety.

  • Experience with delivery platforms (Deliveroo, Talabat) a plus.

  • Hustle and resourcefulness.

Cultural Alignment

Builder and operator energised by creating something new. Comfortable moving fast with imperfect information. Combines strategic thinking with roll-up-sleeves execution. Treats the cafe as their business.
