Project Manager Al Matar Group

Role To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals and build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project. Reports directly to project heads

• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.

• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals along with Project Manager.

• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team (offsite).

• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team,

analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.

• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

• Conduct project evaluation and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

• Creating work specification and producing project plans.

• Ability to defuse tension among project team if any problem arises.

Ensure quality management at sites.

• Work closely with projects head and project engineer to ensure the implementation of project according plan and within time frame.

• Supervise and monitor projects inquires and document

Ability to conduct site visits and meeting with related parties.

• Ability to find solutions in solving instant issues that might be encountered on site.

• Ability to document and follow up on related documents.

• Knowledge in risk management and project planning.

• Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts current status of the projects against an established baseline schedule.

• Develops, implements and maintains cost control, and/or provides centralized planning and scheduling function for Capital & O&M, Operations, Maintenance and Special Projects.

• Participates in the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments

• Participate in efforts to improve project or portfolio management, by proposing process or tool improvements, developing parts of processes, supporting process implementation.

• Support use of and train project managers and teams in Project Management tools and processes.

• conducting project audits, managing project schedules and overseeing regulatory compliance issues

• High technical knowledge to overcome any troubleshooting that might result in site.

• Ability to prepare and follow up on technical materials submittals

• Preparation of quality control documents

• Ability to coordinate with suppliers of key items of materials to obtain most competitive prices, improved delivery periods

• Knowledge and experienced about associate electro mechanical works and SCADA/ instrumentation

QA/QC in site and project execution

Qualifications:

Bsc in Civil engineering or Msc degree (PMP is preferred).

Experienced in MS project . Primavera. AutoCAD

Experience:

• 15+ years experience in project management of multidisciplinary team(s) in water pipeline network

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of public relations; experience working with business and government executives.

Experience in committees facilitation.
