Qualifications

Required level of education

An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in finance, economics, business development or a related field is required, OR

A first-level university degree (bachelor's degree) combined with two additional years of qualifying experience will be considered in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Professional experience required Minimum 5 years of experience (with Master's degree) or 7 years of experience (with Bachelor's degree) preferably in the implementation of projects related to SME support and/or acceleration programs.

Required skills

At least one experience in finance and investment, notably in private equity, crowdfunding (business angels), asset management.

Solid knowledge of results-based management and project implementation.

Solid knowledge of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, and their applications in the business world.

Strong understanding and ability to manage multi-stakeholder coordination and engagement.

Very good analytical and writing skills.

Proficiency in computer tools and office software (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and good knowledge of spreadsheets and databases, as well as experience in using online management systems.

Desired skills in addition to the skills mentioned in the Skills section

Experience in previous missions for the United Nations system and/or for multilateral or bilateral aid organizations would be an asset.

Experience in the green economy/green entrepreneurship and/or social entrepreneurship is an asset.

Previous experience with UNDP projects would be an asset.

Experience of collaboration with national and international experts and institutions.

Exposure to environmental issues or biodiversity is strongly desired, but not required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in project and/or program management.

Excellent understanding of the main areas concerned and stakeholders, their functioning, regulations and institutions, as well as modes of connection with the private sector.

A thorough knowledge of SME creation and monitoring methods is strongly recommended.

Required languages

Fluency in French and Arabic, both written and spoken, is required.

Good professional knowledge of written and spoken English is desirable
