Roles & Responsibilities

Job Title: Project Manager - Mobile Applications
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Employment Type: Full-Time
Number of Vacancies: One

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Strategy Leadership

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for iOS and Android donor apps
  • Lead the shift toward mobile-first donor engagement
  • Oversee development of push notification systems and features that communicate donation impact
  • Align app goals with broader organizational objectives around engagement and retention

Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of mobile app projects from concept to launch
  • Create and oversee project plans, sprint schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Use agile methodologies tailored to mobile development cycles
  • Track performance against KPIs such as downloads, retention, and in-app donations

Team Leadership

  • Lead a cross-functional team of iOS/Android developers, UX/UI designers, and QA specialists
  • Collaborate closely with Product Specialists to align technical builds with product vision
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and user-focused thinking

Technical Oversight

  • Ensure mobile apps meet high standards for UX, performance, and security
  • Oversee integration with backend services and donation platforms
  • Champion user-centered design and continuous improvement through analytics
  • Guide implementation of tracking systems to gain insights into donor behavior

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a liaison between the mobile team and executive leadership
  • Communicate project milestones, risks, and performance data
  • Work with storytelling and content teams to create compelling in-app experiences
  • Incorporate feedback from donors and users to refine and evolve features

App Store & Compliance Management

  • Manage app submissions to both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Apple/Google platform guidelines
  • Oversee rollout of new releases and feature updates
  • Stay abreast of changes in mobile policies and implement updates as needed

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mobile Development, IT, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing mobile application development projects
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling apps on iOS and Android
  • Deep understanding of mobile development lifecycles, tools, and platforms
  • Familiarity with agile project management tools and techniques
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills
  • Strong grasp of mobile analytics and app performance metrics

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience in nonprofit, charity, or donor-tech environments
  • Knowledge of push notification strategy and mobile personalization
  • Background in mobile donations and payment integration
  • Experience with mobile usability testing and user research
  • Familiarity with cross-platform development (e.g., React Native)
