Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


Review, approve drawings, specifications, and procedures / method statements before commencement of work and inspection activities as well as confirm drawings, specifications and procedures are in the latest revision.

  • Ensure all material requisitions have been issued according to the shop-drawings & project specifications prior submitting it to the Procurement.
  • Review and approve material requisitions as per the approved delegation of authority matrix.
  • Review variation orders regarding extra or rework that has been delivered and submit it for approval.
  • Review the payment certificate for work that has been executed prior to submitting the same to the client for payment.
  • Review and approve suppliers/vendors and subcontractors payments prior to being released by the Finance Department.
  • Manage the coordination and collaboration among different disciplines within the project site such as Civil, HVAC, MEP etc.,

to ensure smooth delivery of project.

  • Develop communication system to ensure that all projects information is timely available & communicated for different projects.
  • Monitor project progress at all phases to ensure that all targets are reached and that the overall project is completed in accordance with agreed budget, timescales, cost and scope as well as adjust project plans as appropriate according to recent projects updates
  • Monitor expenditures against approved budget and reconcile budget variances to ensure on-target performance against budgets.
  • Manage the preparation and distribution of progress reports, risk logs and issues, correct deviations from plans, and perform

delivery planning for assigned projects.

  • Coordinate with projects Key stakeholders on reviews and buy-in and obtain their approvals on the same as required,

discuss projects issues with project sponsors & stakeholders, set action and correction plan in order to be on the right track.

  • Minimize project delays and cost overruns by ensuring adequate resources and support are made available.
  • Conduct inspections at the sites on a regular basis, identify any civil, mechanical, electrical or plumbing issues in the on-going

project and provide guidance to resolve issues.

  • Attend regular meetings with upper management, clients, vendors and consultants and keeping them informed of progress.
  • Identify and implement necessary contract change orders with vendors and clients.
  • Ensure proper & efficient utilization of equipment and coordinate with the logistics team for acquiring or returning

equipment.

  • Perform project final assessment which includes:

1. Actual vs. budget analysis (cost)

2. Construction quality

3. Completion time vs. planned

4. Other required assessments in order to close the assigned project

  • Adhere to Companys policies and procedures and perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Line Manager.

Relationship with other departments:

  • Follow up the Projects Staffing Procedure to acquire and release project staff and coordinate with all concerned parties.
  • Liaise with all concerned Departments like Logistics, Equipment, QC, HSSE, Engineering, Projects Planning, Contracts

Managements to request and assign required staff for the Project as required.

  • Liaise with the Administrative Affairs department regarding the employees related issues, such as leave, disciplines, etc.
  • Liaise with Project Planning department regarding issues related to project plan, schedule, and costing.
  • Liaise with Quality Control and HSSE to ensure compliance with the standards in the project site while the execution.
  • Liaise with the Finance Department, Contracts Management, and Procurement Departments in regards to processing

suppliers and subcontractors payments as well as for submitting the Payment Certificate to the client and follow up on

collection.

  • Work closely with the Engineering Department and ensure timely receive of submittals and drawings and oversee the

process of requesting material to commence the work on site.

  • Liaise with the Equipment Department to acquire all required vehicles, machines, equipment on site.

People Management:

  • Provide guidance to subordinates to ensure effective and efficient flow of work.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisal for subordinates.
  • Identify the training needs of employees and ensure training & development initiatives are successfully delivered and

provide feedback to the Direct Manager.

  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process of new candidates, as well as in evaluation process of new employees.

Good Knowledge of relevant legislations, standards, regulations, guides, and good practices.

  • Experience in working on construction projects MEP or Civil sectors (this vary from small size projects to GIGA projects).
  • Experience and knowledge in Computer-aided drafting (CAD) software (AutoCAD, SketchUp).
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing procedures and equipment.
  • Strong verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Skills in math, writing, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to create and adhere to a schedule.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety best practices.
