Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Define scope, schedule, and resources for OHTL projects.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Design Oversight: Review and approve OHTL engineering designs and surveys.
  • Procurement: Manage procurement of towers, conductors, and other key materials.
  • Construction Supervision: Oversee erection, stringing, and testing at site.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project costs and ensure budget adherence.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with quality standards and HSE norms.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and maintain project documentation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Team Leadership: Guide project teams and ensure performance delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics
  • Experience: 15+ years of proven expertise in managing Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects, including planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, and commissioning of high-voltage transmission lines.
  • Certifications & Memberships:
    PMP     – Project Management Professional (PMI Certified)
    KSE Member – Registered with the Kuwait Society of Engineers
  • Key Strengths:
    End-to-end project execution of EHV & HV transmission lines (e.g., 132kV, 400kV)
    Strong leadership in cross-functional team management
    Expert in project scheduling, cost control, risk management, and stakeholder communication
    Sound knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, IS) and safety regulations
