Roles & Responsibilities

Desired Candidate Profile

• A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as development, social sciences, or humanitarian work.
• A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role (support, coordination, or humanitarian/development work), including exposure to reporting, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrable experience with Prevention of Violence against Women and Girls projects.
• Proven project cycle management experience, including strategic planning, capacity development, budgeting, reporting, and monitoring & evaluation.
• Demonstrated experience in engaging with a variety of stakeholders and sharing learning.
• Prior experience with international humanitarian organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Experience in integrating gender and diversity issues into programmes.
• Some prior experience working in a consortium (highly desirable).
• Experience in developing communication/media materials and resources.
• Ability to communicate ideas in a culturally-sensitive manner and conducive to their practical application especially in similar contexts with an ability to adapt and work within a multicultural, multilingual and multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to gain respect of partner organisations, institutional donors and government representatives
• Good organisational and administrative skills
• Good coordination and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
