Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
JOB PURPOSE
The Project Officer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth implementation of the Future Forward project. This includes coordinating JONAF member engagement, supporting the implementation of the JONAF Advocacy Strategy, and facilitating the delivery of the Capacity Development Plan. The role will ensure day-to-day follow-up, stakeholder coordination, and operational delivery of advocacy and capacity-building initiatives, in close collaboration with the Project Manager, JONAF Coordinator, and other project staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Project implementation
- Ensure the timely implementation of assigned project activities in line with the approved work plan and budget.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of planned outputs
- Monitor progress of assigned projects activities and suggest necessary adjustments and management responses in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.
- Collect all supporting projects documentation and financial records in a timely manner in close cooperation with the Program Manager
- Maintain up-to-date tracking tools for activity progress, deliverables, and timelines.
- Assist in monitoring project risks and propose mitigation measures where necessary.
- Support in carrying out monitoring and evaluation for the activities
JONAF Support and Coordination / JONAF Advocacy Strategy Implementation and Relevant Initiatives
- Act as the primary focal point for coordination with JONAF members on activities supported under the project.
- Facilitate communication and information sharing between JONAF members and the project team
- Ensure logistical and operational arrangements for JONAF events, meetings, and consultations.
- Maintain and update stakeholder contact lists and engagement records.
- Support in identifying and using qualitative and quantitative tools to measure impact of projects activities whenever needed.
- Coordinate the roll-out of the JONAF Advocacy Strategy, ensuring alignment with the project s broader objectives.
- Facilitate the implementation of advocacy initiatives, including planning, partner engagement, and follow-up.
- Support the execution of the Capacity Development Plan
- Liaise with advocacy partners, local organizations, and external stakeholders to advance advocacy objectives.
Reporting
- Conduct project needs assessment when required.
- Support the preparation of narrative progress reports, donor updates, and meeting minutes.
- Support in developing concept notes and TORs.
- Prepare content material for the media department.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and JONAF Coordinator on progress, challenges, and next steps.
- Document lessons learned and best practices from project and JONAF-related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least Bachelor s degree in political science, human rights, business administration, management or related field
- At least 3 years of work experience in implementing development projects, with a national or international organization
- Experience in managing donor funded projects and programs
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, network coordination, or alliance building.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, network coordination, or alliance building.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work with people from various cultural and social backgrounds
