Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure the supply of components necessary for the production program (Project)
Managing supplier relationships within the framework of purchasing contracts
Optimize the component supply chain by acting on processes in conjunction with the responsible departments.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Addressing component requirements:
- to define the supply parameters in the ERP item record, and in the Supply Chain contracts, consistent with stock objectives and industrial strategy.
- analyze the impact of a change request, implement the action plan resulting from the impact analysis
- handle exception messages (launch an order, advance, postpone, cancel an order, exceeding the end date, late launch) resulting from the net requirements calculation
- to propose solutions in case of shortages
Managing the operational relationship with the supplier:
- analyze, process, confirm and forward the requirement to the supplier
- to negotiate delivery times/quantities with suppliers within the contractual framework set by purchasing (negotiation on delivery times/quantities but not on commercial terms)
- Monitor the progress of manufacturing at the supplier, manage acknowledgements of receipt, track the flow until delivery, oversee the handling of administrative disputes, and ensure follow-up with suppliers.
- manage return flows at suppliers
Improving supply performance:
- monitor supplier capacity
- Measure and analyze supplier performance in coordination with the Supply Chain Management (SPM) team, and in the event of non-compliance with supplier objectives, implement internal and external action plans in conjunction with the purchasing department. Key criterion for effectiveness: reliability of transmitted data.
- to define and implement action plans for reducing uncertainties, risks and production cycles
Participate in conjunction with the responsible departments:
- Supplier planning (capacity and critical materials/components)
- managing transport and supplies
- the establishment and maintenance of logistical rules
- the drafting of supply contracts (on SC parts: lot size, horizon)
- obsolescence management
