Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develops, updates, and maintains the project master schedule for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the wind project. Monitors progress, identifies delays, supports recovery plans, performs critical path analysis, interfaces with EPC contractors and OEMs, and provides weekly/monthly reporting. Ensures schedule compliance with project objectives and milestones.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring accurate representation of project scope, activities, and dependencies.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identify critical path activities, and proactively assess potential delays, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to gather accurate activity durations, resource requirements, and work breakdown structures.
- Conduct regular schedule updates, incorporating changes, progress, and approved variations, while ensuring data integrity and version control.
- Analyze schedule variances, providing insightful reports to stakeholders, highlighting potential risks, and proposing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Facilitate schedule review meetings, presenting schedule updates, discussing potential issues, and coordinating resolutions with the project team.
- Prepare and present schedule performance reports, including earned value analysis, to track project progress, identify trends, and forecast project completion dates.
- Support the preparation of project proposals, providing schedule input for bids and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Manage and control schedule baselines, change orders, and revisions, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with project governance.
- Ensure the integration of the project schedule with other project management processes, such as cost control, risk management, and procurement.
Desired Candidate Profile
Expertise in Primavera P6/MS Project, critical path method (CPM), earned value management (EVM), project controls, forecasting, delay analysis, progress reporting, cross-functional coordination, understanding of wind EPC sequence (foundations, roads, WTG installation, cabling, substation, commissioning).
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in project management principles.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling within the wind power or renewable energy industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of project lifecycles.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software, with the ability to create, maintain, and analyze complex project schedules.
- Holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification, showcasing a commitment to project management best practices.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of wind turbine technology, construction processes, and the unique challenges of renewable energy projects.
- Experience in the wind power sector, familiar with wind farm construction, commissioning, and operation.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential risks, analyze schedule variances, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
- Displays strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present schedule information to stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), using these tools to create reports and presentations.
- Shows a proactive and results-oriented approach to project scheduling, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
