Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Proposal & Documentation:
- Analyze client RFPs, RFQs, and project requirements.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including SOW, SLAs, BOQs, and costings.
- Customize cybersecurity service offerings based on client needs and objectives.
- Ensure all proposals are accurate, well-structured, and aligned with company standards.
2. Costing & Estimation:
- Assist in pricing and cost estimation in coordination with finance and technical teams.
- Prepare detailed BOQs and cost breakdowns for services and solutions.
- Support efforts to optimize proposal pricing for profitability and competitiveness.
3. Technical Coordination:
- Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, SOC, GRC, and project management teams.
- Translate technical input into clear, client-friendly proposal content.
- Ensure all technical details meet customer requirements and industry standards.
4. Process & Quality Management:
- Maintain and update proposal templates and documentation libraries.
- Track submission timelines and ensure on-time delivery of proposals.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for proposal quality and efficiency.
Cybersecurity Services Exposure:
The Proposal Engineer will work across a variety of cybersecurity service areas, including:
- Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessment
- Managed SOC / MDR / SIEM
- Incident Response & Forensics
- GRC & Compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS)
- Cloud & Network Security
- Security Awareness & Training
- Security Architecture & Consulting
- Cybersecurity Project Delivery for Clients
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 3 years of experience in proposals, tendering, estimation, pre-sales, or technical documentation (preferably in IT or cybersecurity).
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills in English.
- Sound financial awareness, including pricing structures, margins, and cost analysis.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
- Cybersecurity exposure or certifications (e.g., CEH, ISO 27001) are a plus but not mandatory.
