Roles & Responsibilities

Position: Proposal Engineer

Location: UAE

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Proposal Engineer to prepare technical and commercial proposals for Oil & Gas, EPC, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in tendering, estimation, bid preparation, and coordination with internal departments to ensure accurate and competitive submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review RFQs, ITBs, tender documents, and client specifications.

  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for Oil & Gas and EPC projects.

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, estimation, and operations teams for bid preparation.

  • Analyze project requirements, scope of work, and technical specifications.

  • Prepare cost estimations, pricing calculations, and commercial evaluations.

  • Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Ensure proposals comply with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

  • Participate in technical clarification meetings and client discussions.

  • Maintain tender records, proposal documentation, and bid submission schedules.

  • Support contract negotiations and post-bid activities when required.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and project opportunities.


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Engineering.

  • Minimum 3–8 years of experience as a Proposal Engineer, Tender Engineer, or Estimation Engineer within the Oil & Gas or EPC industry.

  • Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, commercial documentation, and estimation processes.

  • Experience handling EPC, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial projects.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, estimation software, and ERP systems.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
