Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Design and develop UAV propulsion systems to meet performance and mission requirements
Select and size motors, propellers, and ESC systems for optimal efficiency
Optimize propulsion systems to improve energy efficiency and flight endurance
Perform propulsion system testing, validation, and performance analysis
Analyze thrust, power consumption, and efficiency trade-offs
Support integration of propulsion systems with UAV airframe and control systems
Conduct simulations and assist in prototype development and testing
Collaborate with mechanical and avionics teams to ensure system compatibility
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
3–5 years of experience in propulsion systems, UAVs, aerospace, or robotics
Strong understanding of propulsion fundamentals including motors, propellers, and ESC systems
Experience in UAV propulsion system design, testing, and optimization
Knowledge of aerodynamics and flight mechanics
Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, or similar
Experience in performance analysis including thrust, power consumption, and efficiency
