Engineering and development of OETC transmission system in terms of studies, design, and best practices implementations. Ensure safe, secure, reliable, economic, and effective Management of the Protection & Metering systems. Justify, design and implements new technologies and digital stations.

Description:

• Address internal and external audit findings related to protection system
• Establish, maintain, & update Protection system SOPs, procedures, and documentations.
• Contribute to the preparation of business and work plans to achieve technical deliverables.
• Lead periodic validation of OETC Protection system setting and configurations and proper setting coordination with connected parties.
• Establish, maintain, & update OETC standard specifications.
• Maintain up to date protection system model in modelling software.
• Contribute to establishing and maintaining the best practices in Protection Asset class management.
• Run studies in the protection system, evaluate performance and report outcomes.
• Continuous validation of protection system function and setting, and coordination by different scenarios simulations.
• Calculate, review, simulate and validate protection relay setting calculation and coordination for existing system and new projects.
• Perform engineering design review and validate IEDs configuration through simulations.
• Protection system design development, IED performance evaluation, and schemes implementation.
• Maintain Standardized protection schemes in terms standard specifications as well as implementations.
• Provide technical support for OETC departments and concerned contractors and consultants in OETC projects for proper implementation.
• Validation of IEDs hardware, firmware, and configurations, utilizing the simulation software and testing tools.
• Identification, justification and change management of new technology on protection asset class and digital stations implementation.
• Incident, failure, and system phenomena investigation root cause finding, and recommendation execution.
• Technical Support for protection engineers in day-to-day work.
• To be available 24/7 to support in timely restoration of all forced outages, and site visits.
• Enhance OETC engineer s technical competency by knowledge sharing and on job training.
• Preform Real Time Digital Simulation in the testing facility.
• Maintain and develop protection monitoring systems. Analysis and report recorded events and Power Quality.
• Contribution towards the preparation of Protection budget, price control and tender documents, and project execution.
• Ensure protection system Cyber security compliance and implementation.
• Supervising and carrying out preventative measures to ensure a safe working environment
• Contribute to engineering, design, and validation of protection scheme, solutions, and new applications & technology.
• Knowledge and Understanding of the following management systems: ISO55001, ISO 14001, ISO45001 and ISO 27001, ISO9001, ISO22301 to carry out the assigned duties as per the roles and responsibilities matrix.
• Adhere to the Company s health, safety, environmental and security policies always and immediately report violations of these policies to OETC health, safety & environment representatives.
