Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Protection Electrical Engineers:
- Engineering Graduates with minimum experience of 8 Yrs in Transmission/Substation Projects as Protection Engineer.
- Shall be aware of International Engineering Standards and should have worked on the Supervision, Consulting, and Project Monitoring of similar capacity of Substation Constructions.
- Major Responsibilities
- Follow Construction and installation of GIS, LCC, Protection Panels and all electrical equipment’s and follow Testing and Commissioning Activities as consultant and H.V Test for GIS, GIB and Power Cables.
- Handle and follow daily activities , inspections and check of all new installations of LCC, Protection Panels, Protection and Control Devices etc.
- Professional in Technical Reports Writing, Multi Task Function.
- Possess a flair for adopting modern commissioning methodologies in compliance with quality standards.
- Expert in planning & commissioning activities for electrical equipment and systems; Skilful in carrying out various tests as well as inspections.
- Effectively, following up safety norms while doing commissioning resulting in zero electrical accident.
- Shall perform construction management and related services such as Work Scheduling, Monitoring and Control.
- Shall inspect all contractor’s incoming materials for damage and for compliance with Contract’s Technical Specifications.
- He shall witness all field testing of the projects and all component parts of the projects by the contractors or their appointed inspection agencies in their entirety.
- He shall review and certify “As Built” Drawings of the construction contractors for correctness and compliance with the requirements of the Client’s turnkey project drawing procedure.
- Preferred to have experience & knowledge in the following types of tests : Automatic Relay Test, Relay Test Unit, CT Tests, Measure of Breaker Contacts and Bus bar joint, Transformer Ratio Test, Transformer Turn Ratio Test, Winding Resistance Test, Secondary Current Injection Test, Insulation Test, High Voltage Insulation Test, Primary Current Injection Test, True RMS Measurement, Primary Current Injection Test, True RMS Measurement.

- Displays excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling effective troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Exhibits strong knowledge of protection principles, including overcurrent, differential, distance, and breaker failure protection schemes.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, fostering effective communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
- Communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for clear and concise technical documentation and collaboration.
- Exhibits a proactive and detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols in all aspects of work.
