Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and test new pump systems, including centrifugal, submersible, positive displacement, and diaphragm pumps.
  • Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and alignment of pumps and associated components.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in pumping systems.
  • Dismantle, inspect, and rebuild pumps to manufacturer specifications.
  • Replace worn or defective parts such as seals, bearings, shafts, and impellers.
  • Conduct vibration analysis, pressure testing, and flow rate assessments to verify performance.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection logs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel to improve system reliability.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in an on-call rotation, if required.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of relevant safety standards (e.g., OSHA, confined space, lockout/tagout).
  • Basic computer literacy for maintenance record-keeping.
