Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify reliable suppliers and evaluate their offerings, ensuring the best value for the company.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of purchase with suppliers, aiming for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand material specifications and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material needs to prevent production delays and optimize stock management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering partnerships that enhance quality and reliability.
  • Analyze supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely fulfillment and documentation of all transactions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to identify new purchasing opportunities and innovations.
  • Adhere to company policies and compliance regulations in all purchasing activities, maintaining ethical standards throughout.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is essential for understanding technical requirements.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
  • Should have sound knowledge in Electrical, Air conditioning, Plumbing, Fit-out and building materials
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly advantageous.
  • Experience in the specific industry of the position—such as MEP , Civil construction —will significantly enhance candidate suitability.
  • Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset for global supplier interactions.
  • Strong analytical skills are necessary for evaluating supplier data and making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation skills are crucial for securing favorable terms and building supplier relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are vital for effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach is essential to ensure that all purchasing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
