Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors, securing the best possible terms for all purchases, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including sourcing, issuing purchase orders, and tracking shipments to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Maintain detailed records of all purchases, contracts, and vendor interactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers, conducting thorough due diligence to assess their capabilities and reliability.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs, ensuring optimal stock levels to minimize waste and prevent stockouts.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as F&B and Housekeeping, to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
- Resolve any issues with deliveries, invoices, or vendor disputes, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
- Stay informed about market trends and industry best practices, identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure adherence to all hotel standards, including hygiene, safety, and operational procedures.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, vendor performance, and cost savings.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement within the hospitality industry, specifically within a 4-star hotel setting.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of hotel operations, including F&B, Housekeeping, and Engineering requirements.
- Exhibits excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable pricing and contracts.
- Proficient in using procurement software and systems, such as ERP systems and e-procurement platforms.
- Possesses strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Is fluent in English (written and spoken), with additional language proficiency being a plus.
- Shows a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exhibits a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
