Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive with a background in the marine industry to handle procurement operations for technical and mechanical marine equipment. The ideal candidate must be familiar with sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing marine spares and components such as engines, shafts, propellers, pumps, valves, generators, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure marine equipment, spare parts, and services as per project requirements.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with marine suppliers and service providers.
  • Coordinate with the technical and maintenance teams to understand specifications and ensure correct purchases.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and raise purchase requests accordingly.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and marine industry standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the marine industry.
  • Strong knowledge of marine components: engines, shafts, propellers, valves, pumps, generators, hydraulics.
  • Good negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read technical specifications and coordinate with technical departments.
  • Proficient in MS Office and procurement software.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
