Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers in Comoros. Float inquiries, compare quotations, and finalize cost-effective vendors. Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely supplies. Purchase Order Management Prepare accurate purchase orders with correct specifications. Track and monitor order status to ensure on-time delivery. Coordinate with logistics/shipping for local & international purchases. Price & Cost Negotiation Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and vendor agreements. Ensure competitive costing without compromising quality. Inventory & Material Planning Coordinate with warehouse teams for stock planning and replenishment. Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid shortages. Resolve quality issues and coordinate returns/replacements when needed. Documentation & Compliance Manage all procurement documentation, invoices, GRN, vendor contracts, etc. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regional regulations. Coordinate with accounts for timely supplier payments. Reporting Prepare daily/weekly/monthly procurement reports. Perform vendor performance analysis and cost analysis.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field with 3–7 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, demonstrating strong sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management skills. Experience in import/export operations or procurement within the African region is an added advantage. The candidate must have strong communication skills in English, fluency in the Comoros local language and knowledge of French is a plus. Strong proficiency in MS Excel and professional email communication skills are required. Relocation to Comoros is mandatory; male candidates only.
