Job Description

As a Purchase Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization efficiently procures the goods and services it needs to operate. You will be responsible for negotiating contracts, sourcing high-quality products at competitive prices, and managing vendor relationships to drive success and optimize the supply chain. This position requires you to be strategic in managing the purchasing department, maintaining an extensive vendor network, and ensuring compliance with company policies. You'll work closely with various departments, including finance and operations, to align purchasing strategies with organizational objectives. With an eye for detail and excellent negotiation skills, you will facilitate efficient transactions that contribute to the organization s profitability and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives and market trends.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of quality products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers and service providers.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and analyze market trends.
  • Oversee the purchase order process to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to determine product specifications and demand forecasting.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage supply chain logistics to avoid shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in all purchasing activities.
  • Prepare reports on purchase activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
  • Manage and mentor purchasing team members to improve efficiency and skills.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and conduct risk assessments related to sourcing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a thorough understanding of procurement procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategies for cost savings.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data management.
  • Possess strong leadership and team management capabilities.
