Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive purchase requests from all departments (Medical, Laboratory, Engineering, Administrative, and Operational).
  • Search for and evaluate approved suppliers, maintaining and updating the supplier database regularly.
  • Obtain technical and financial quotations and compare them according to required specifications.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
  • Issue approved purchase orders and follow up on delivery and receipt with the warehouse department.
  • Ensure that medical products, equipment, and laboratory materials comply with required technical specifications and quality certificates (e.g., ISO, CE, Egyptian Drug Authority).
  • Coordinate with the maintenance and biomedical engineering departments regarding equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Monitor critical stock levels to ensure continuous availability of essential supplies.
  • Prepare periodic reports on purchasing activities, suppliers performance, and price trends.
  • Adhere to all procurement policies, financial regulations, and internal control procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing within a medical facility or hospital.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier markets for medical equipment, consumables, laboratories, and general services.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Odoo.
  • Strong negotiation and offer evaluation skills.
  • High attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
