Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and vendor performance to make informed purchasing decisions that maximize value and minimize costs.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible prices, terms, and delivery conditions tailored to the organization's needs.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively by forecasting demand and ensuring stock availability to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and develop strategies that align with overall business goals.
  • Conduct thorough supplier evaluations to ensure they meet quality, compliance, and ethical standards while fostering long-term relationships.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate purchase orders, contracts, and reports to facilitate efficient procurement processes and audits.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance through regular reviews, addressing any issues promptly to maintain service quality.
  • Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and innovations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is essential to understand procurement fundamentals.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement roles within a similar industry to ensure expertise.
  • Professional certifications like Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) will significantly enhance your qualifications.
