Roles & Responsibilities

Title - Purchasing Specialist

Job profile

1. Initiate inquiries on all our requirements viz., Raw materials, building

materials, spare parts, consumables, repair materials, repairs and overhauls

done outside, etc,.

2. Obtain competitive offers from approved vendors, effective negotiation and

preparation of comparison sheet on various parameters with payment terms

3. Initiate vendor meetings/discussions to avoid any misunderstanding and any

unexplained points.

4. Make the vendors (especially those who are involved in all raw material and

core supplies) committed to the points agreed and stipulated in the purchase

orders, whether it relates to quality or timely delivery.

5. Conduct all transactions in the most transparent and traceable way.

6. Sourcing new vendors and alternative products to expand our vendor network

and related credit facility works.

7. Develop or source equivalent/substitute products locally replacing imported

items, wherever possible.


Essential requirements

1. Must be graduate in engineering in mechanical or civil or electrical

2. Expect to have at least 3 to 4 years experience in procurement department of

any manufacturing or construction company with preference to concrete

based industry. Experience in any middle eastern country would be a certain

advantage.

3. Excellent command of English in speaking and correspondence.

4. Exposure in any known ERP systeme
