Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and product innovation initiatives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure timely and cost-effective supply.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular evaluations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with product design, production, and logistics teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Analyze market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities to support product development and expansion.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Resolve supply chain issues, manage risks, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within manufacturing or consumer goods.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation and contract management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP or procurement management systems.
- Solid understanding of sourcing, inventory management, and logistics processes.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
