Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Purchasing and Supply Manager
Purchases:
- develop and implement the purchasing strategy (raw materials, packaging, equipment, services).
- Identify, select and evaluate suppliers according to quality/price/delivery time criteria.
- To negotiate the terms of purchase and the contracts.
- Monitor the market (prices, new products, innovations in the cosmetics field).
- Ensure regulatory compliance of purchased products (technical data sheets, certificates, cosmetic standards).
Supplies:
- Plan raw material and packaging requirements in coordination with production and planning department.
- Ensure inventory management and order tracking until delivery.
- Set up performance indicators (service rate, stock turnover, stockouts, etc.).
- Optimize logistics costs and supply lead times.
- Managing imports (customs, transit, documentation, international transport).
Management and coordination:
- Supervise the purchasing/supply team.
- Collaborate closely with the Production, Quality, R&D and Finance departments.
- Participate in the implementation of an ERP system or inventory management software.
- Provide regular reporting to management (dashboards, budget monitoring, etc.).
Formation :
- Bac +4/5 in business, management, logistics, or industrial engineering.
- A specialization in purchasing or supply chain is highly valued.
- Knowledge of the cosmetics, pharmaceutical or chemical sector is desirable.
Exp rience :
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the cosmetics or parapharmaceutical industry.
- Extensive experience in managing international purchases and imports.
Comp tences techniques :
- Proficiency in computer tools (Excel, ERP, inventory management software).
- Knowledge of cosmetic standards and compliance procedures (MSDS, technical data sheets, certificates of analysis, etc.).
- Skills in negotiation and contract management.
- Good understanding of logistics and customs processes.
- Behavioral skills:
- Sense of organization and rigor.
- Analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation abilities.
- Responsiveness, autonomy and sense of priorities.
- Team spirit and leadership.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, management, logistics, or industrial engineering. Specialization in purchasing or supply chain management is highly valued. Knowledge of the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or chemical sectors is desirable. Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the cosmetics or parapharmaceutical industry. Proven experience in international purchasing and import management.
