Roles & Responsibilities

Purchasing and Supply Manager


Purchases:

  • develop and implement the purchasing strategy (raw materials, packaging, equipment, services).
  • Identify, select and evaluate suppliers according to quality/price/delivery time criteria.
  • To negotiate the terms of purchase and the contracts.
  • Monitor the market (prices, new products, innovations in the cosmetics field).
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of purchased products (technical data sheets, certificates, cosmetic standards).

Supplies:

  • Plan raw material and packaging requirements in coordination with production and planning department.
  • Ensure inventory management and order tracking until delivery.
  • Set up performance indicators (service rate, stock turnover, stockouts, etc.).
  • Optimize logistics costs and supply lead times.
  • Managing imports (customs, transit, documentation, international transport).

Management and coordination:

  • Supervise the purchasing/supply team.
  • Collaborate closely with the Production, Quality, R&D and Finance departments.
  • Participate in the implementation of an ERP system or inventory management software.
  • Provide regular reporting to management (dashboards, budget monitoring, etc.).

Formation :

  • Bac +4/5 in business, management, logistics, or industrial engineering.
  • A specialization in purchasing or supply chain is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of the cosmetics, pharmaceutical or chemical sector is desirable.

Exp rience :

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the cosmetics or parapharmaceutical industry.
  • Extensive experience in managing international purchases and imports.

Comp tences techniques :

  • Proficiency in computer tools (Excel, ERP, inventory management software).
  • Knowledge of cosmetic standards and compliance procedures (MSDS, technical data sheets, certificates of analysis, etc.).
  • Skills in negotiation and contract management.
  • Good understanding of logistics and customs processes.

Desired Candidate Profile
