Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers

  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts

  • Analyze purchase requisitions from departments

  • Plan purchasing schedules based on demand and budget

  • Forecast material requirements

  • Ensure timely availability of materials and services

  • Compare prices and negotiate best value

  • Control procurement costs within approved budgets

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs)

  • Ensure accurate specifications, quantities, and delivery terms

  • Track and follow up on orders

  • Resolve discrepancies in orders or invoices

  • Maintain accurate procurement records

  • Ensure compliance with company policies

  • Monitor market trends affecting pricing and availability

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field

  • Professional certification (e.g., procurement/supply chain certification) is an added advantage

  • 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain

  • Experience in vendor negotiation and contract management

  • Industry-specific procurement experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles

  • Ability to prepare and analyze purchase orders, quotations, and contracts

  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

  • Understanding of inventory control and cost analysis

  • Knowledge of local and international sourcing

  • Understanding of import/export procedures

  • Strong market research capability

  • High level of integrity and ethical standards

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Team player with cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Proactive and result-oriented mindset
