Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.

  • Setting annual targets and objectives for the section and meet these targets with his/her team.
  • Create, discuss and control the purchasing budget.
  • Supervise Local Purchasing , Foreign Purchasing and Logistics Teams.
  • Evaluate and analyze the current and potential vendors based on the quality, payment terms, reference lists, prices, after sales services, warranty, HSE requirements, and delivery terms.
  • Forecast prices and international market trends to identify changes of balance in the supplier power.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking for imported goods.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
  • Establish and update an approved vendor/supplier database.
  • Analyze purchasing reports to solve the cause roots of all purchasing barriers and obstacles.
  • Improve the lead time of the strategic materials.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with all vendors.
  • Review and sign yearly supply agreements for main materials with suppliers.
  • Approve all purchase orders.
  • Ensure the shipment documents provided on time and according to the governmental rules ad regulations.
  • Ensure to deliver the imported goods on time at the warehouses.
  • Ensure to pay for the suppliers on time and all the payment documents has been provided.
  • Supervise and motivate the purchasing teams and determining the needed training per each.
  • Ensure the Following of filing and archiving system.

Desired Candidate Profile

Suitable Bachelor's Degree ( Electrical Engineering is preferred )

  • Proven working experience in the Electrical industry
  • from 12 to 15 Years of Experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • Expert in Strategic Sourcing
