Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous deals and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and align purchasing activities with production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
- Resolve supplier issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance to senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals and foster continuous improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Proven track record in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Solid understanding of market research and sourcing best practices.
- Experience in the furniture or manufacturing industry is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
