Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the construction or contracting industry and will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements

• Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules

• Maintain and develop relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors

• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site and warehouse teams

• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and project budgets

• Track orders and resolve any supply issues or delays

• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

• Coordinate with various departments to understand purchasing needs
  

Reporting Line:
The Purchasing Officer will report directly to the Purchasing Manager and support the requirements of all relevant departments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing

• Prior experience in a construction or contracting company is a strong advantage

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Good knowledge of local suppliers and market conditions in the UAE

• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software systems

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
