Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for fire fighting equipment, systems, and related materials in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure optimal value and timely procurement of goods.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation for fire protection and security system components.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate material forecasting and inventory control.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and manufacturers.
- Track and report on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier compliance to management.
- Ensure all purchased materials comply with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new suppliers, conducting due diligence and risk assessments.
- Support tendering processes by obtaining competitive quotations and preparing comparative analyses.
- Stay updated on market trends, new products, and innovations in fire fighting and security systems procurement.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in purchasing or procurement, within fire fighting contracting companies or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, equipment, and relevant technical specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and vendors.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical documents and supplier proposals.
- Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations and standards.
- Willingness to work onsite and coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.
