Purchasing Supervisor

ELGARHY

• The applicant must have experience in procurement within the MEP and Steel fabrication field.

Team management:

• Supervise and train the purchasing team, delegate tasks, and monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).

Supplier management:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers.
• Resolve issues with suppliers regarding materials, quality, or invoicing.

Procurement process:

• Manage and process purchase orders for materials, parts, and equipment.
• Ensure the timely delivery of materials to meet project timelines.
• Coordinate with project managers and site staff to understand and fulfill procurement needs.
• Participate in bidding, evaluation, and award processes for complex purchases.

Compliance and quality:

• Ensure all materials comply with project specifications, construction codes, and safety standards.
• Verify that purchasing activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Administration and reporting:

• Maintain accurate purchasing records, files, and reports.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouses.
• Review and approve bills for payment, and handle invoice disputes.
