Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the testing efforts of the QA team, including task assignments, progress tracking, and providing guidance to ensure efficient testing cycles.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring alignment with project requirements and user stories to guarantee software quality.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolution and retesting for verification.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide insightful reports on software quality, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, actively contributing to the team's agile development process.
- Ensure adherence to established QA processes and standards, promoting consistency and best practices within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts, to understand requirements and ensure product quality.
- Manage and maintain the test environment, ensuring its stability and availability for testing activities.
- Stay updated with the latest QA methodologies, tools, and technologies, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.
- Mentor and train junior QA team members, fostering their professional growth and development within the QA domain.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field provides a strong foundation.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on testing and test management, is preferred.
- Experience within the software development industry, particularly in Agile environments, will be highly advantageous.
- Proven experience in test planning, test case design, and test execution, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using various testing tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar, will be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex software defects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach.
