Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and govern all QAT & UAT activities for the Commodity Trading platform across all business streams.
Leverage prior experience in Trading (commodities, Stocks, FX and Crypto) to test portfolio valuations, risk management triggers, and complex trading scenarios.
Apply deep trading platform expertise encompassing customer onboarding, back office workflows, call centre flows, Sharia validation flows, and integrations.
Own the QAT/UAT strategy, test approach, resource planning, timelines, and release quality gates.
Execute functional testing for real-time trading on mobile (iOS/Android/Web), focusing on live price feeds, spread calculations, and order execution.
Utilize baseline knowledge of UAE and international exchange platforms and digital commodity policies during scenario planning.
Conduct rigorous testing of diverse settlement models (Immediate, T+1, T+2) to verify Shariah-compliant spot trade mechanics.
Coordinate comprehensive UAT preparation, including test scenarios, test cases, test data provisioning, entry/exit criteria, and formal sign-off requirements.
Drive daily defect triage sessions alongside Managers, Vendors, and Business Product Owners.
Ensure timely closure of defects with complete transparency on root cause analysis, business impact, and resolution paths.
Act as the primary escalation point for all QAT & UAT platform issues, delivery risks, and schedule delays.
Ensure strict alignment with Sharia governance, operational risk requirements, and digital customer experience standards.
Manage communication with senior management regarding UAT progress, risks, mitigation measures, and deployment readiness for go-live.
Maintain all UAT documentation, progress reports, requirement traceability matrices, and defect logs in compliance with internal audit requirements.
Generic Accountabilities
Act as the primary point of contact (POC) across Business, Operations, Sharia, Technology, and Digital Channels for all Trading Platforms.
Perform continuous test analysis to identify critical testing enhancements required for trading workflows, system integrations, and digital user journeys.
Develop and govern QAT/UAT artifacts, including test scenarios, test cases, templates, and traceability matrices, while enforcing strict version control.
Provide clear, data-driven UAT progress reports to the PMO and senior stakeholders under tight timelines to ensure absolute alignment with planned release dates.
Represent core business interests during CRM performance testing, non-functional evaluation, regression cycles, and release validations.
Collaborate across delivery squads to embed customer-centricity and ensure platform functionality natively enables relationship-based Islamic banking.
Manage, implement, and enforce standardized testing methodologies, documentation protocols, and quality assurance KPIs across all streams.
Support critical post-deployment validation, hyper-care UAT monitoring, and production environment sanity testing.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities within operational workflows, automated testing frameworks, and overall triage methodologies.
Ensure all UAT and QAT activities comply fully with central banking regulations, Sharia audit guidelines, and internal governance control frameworks.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Experience
5–10 years of experience as QA Functional tester in Digital Banking & Wealth management (Investment Banking Services).
Must: Minimum 3 years leading UAT for Trading platforms, Customer Experience Platforms, Admin Portals, Back-office applications.
Secondary Experience: T24 Knowledge, Outward and Inward remittances.
Basic understanding of Islamic banking products (Murabaha, Wakala, Ijarah, Musharaka, CASA & Margin).
Experience in testing Trading integrations with core banking, AML, KYC, Workflow/ESB, and digital channels.
Proven experience using JIRA, ALM QC, or similar tools for test case management and defect tracking.
Solid background working in digital transformations, CI-CD implementations.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Preferred certifications: Advanced ISTQB Certified, Agile Certification.
