Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction materials and processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines tailored to specific project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify potential quality issues early in the project lifecycle.
  • Document and report findings from inspections, tests, and audits to maintain a clear record of quality assurance activities.
  • Evaluate and analyze test results to recommend corrective actions for non-conformance in construction practices.
  • Facilitate training sessions for construction teams on quality standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Perform site audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements during construction activities.
  • Review and approve material submittals, ensuring that all materials meet established quality standards.
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual quality requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and advancements in quality control techniques relevant to civil engineering.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a solid theoretical foundation for quality assurance practices.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in QA/QC roles within the civil engineering sector, demonstrating practical expertise.
  • Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma, showcasing a commitment to quality management principles.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring familiarity with complex construction methodologies and quality challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and their testing methods, enabling effective assessment of quality compliance.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools, enhancing efficiency in tracking and reporting quality metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, facilitating clear interactions with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills for identifying potential quality issues and developing solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Physical capability to conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring thorough assessment of construction quality on-site.
