Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) tailored for civil and MEP works to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing civil and MEP works, including concrete, steel, electrical, and mechanical installations, to identify and document any deviations from approved drawings and specifications.
  • Review and approve subcontractors' method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and international codes.
  • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment used for quality control, guaranteeing accurate and reliable results.
  • Manage and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented and verified to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues and provide technical guidance.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and as-built records, for project closeout.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality management system and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training to site personnel on quality control procedures and best practices for civil and MEP works.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards during quality control activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality control for civil and MEP projects.
  • Experience with international projects is a plus, with prior experience in the Middle East preferred.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
