Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials, workmanship, and site activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Perform detailed audits and assessments of subcontractors' work, providing timely feedback and corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date quality control documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action logs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to resolve quality-related issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Review and approve project submittals, shop drawings, and material certifications to ensure compliance with design and construction requirements.
  • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of measurement results.
  • Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality control procedures, promoting a culture of quality awareness.
  • Investigate and analyze quality-related incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures to minimize future occurrences.
  • Participate in project close-out activities, including the preparation of final quality control reports and the handover of project documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in construction principles.
  • Holds relevant certifications, demonstrating expertise in quality control.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in quality control within the construction industry, showcasing practical knowledge.
  • Exhibits a proven track record of working on large-scale construction projects, indicating the ability to manage complex quality control processes.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing for effective identification and resolution of quality issues.
  • Possesses a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring precise inspection and documentation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
